Challenge
MGM Rewards is the loyalty program of MGM Resorts. Members earn points on gaming and non-gaming spend across 20+ U.S. destinations and move through five tiers, from Sapphire to NOIR. The Loyalty team was redesigning the app and web experience to grow membership, while the company moved from one design system, Indigo, to another, Vega.
Approach
As one of two designers, I helped structure the new experience and redesigned every screen on Vega, from journeys and wireframes to final UI and prototypes. I also carried the full handoff to engineering.

Much of my work at MGM Resorts is confidential. Everything shown here is live in production today.

A loyalty product depends on legibility. Members need to see where they stand, what they have earned and what the next tier unlocks, without reading the rules. The redesign turns status into something you read at a glance, and progress into an invitation to take the next step.
Changing design systems is not a reskin. Every screen had to be rebuilt on new components, and every exception had to be either absorbed by Vega or argued for. Doing that with two designers in four months meant treating handoff as part of the design work.
